Expert advice straight from the site – meet local builders Eddie and Dan
If you’re looking to have your windows replaced or have a building project in mind, look for independent reviews, read customer testimonials and case studies and ask reliable sources.
Eddie and Dan are both self-employed, multi-skilled, local builders. Over the past 10 years, they’ve both enjoyed the variety of projects they’ve worked on, including foundation work, brickwork, blockwork, carpentry, frame fitting, decking and even patio laying.
“At first, I was asked to help out on Saturdays by Geoff, Elglaze’s installations manager. Not only was he a great bloke, but he was a great trainer too. I learnt how to do the window fitting first and then moved on to learn other skills.”
One of Elglaze’s longest employees
Eddie, ‘Cambridge born and bred’ is now in his 15th year working with Elglaze and remembers how he first became involved with the team:
Working with a local company has obvious benefits – jobs are local so you spend less on fuel which is better for the environment – but more importantly, for customers Eddie says:
“Local people like working with local builders and also trust their expert advice and recommendations. That’s why we work with Elglaze – it has an excellent reputation for high quality work and products and its staff are lovely – that’s why customers keep coming back too.”
“Customer service and customer relations are so important”
Read customer testimonials and case studies
Dan, who has always had aspirations of having his own building company, also learnt the trade with Geoff at Elglaze, after studying hard at Cambridge Regional College in business studies and engineering. He says:
“Elglaze looks after us, looks after its staff, and looks after its customers. Customer service and customer relations are so important. Their team is supportive, reliable and trustworthy and all round easy to deal with.”
Dan also says if you’re looking to have your windows replaced or have a building project in mind then:
“Look for independent reviews – read customer testimonials and case studies – ask reliable sources. In the end reputation is key. But also see the products in person to make sure you’re happy with the product, the material, the style and the colour – get yourself down to the showroom in Earith or even take a trip out to see a finished project.”
