In an industry where pushy sales tactics are often the norm, we chose to take the opposite approach and insist on no hard sell. We have been serving Cambridgeshire since 1983 and we believe your experience getting quotes for windows, doors, conservatories – any home improvement – should be transparent, it should be easy and it should be stress-free. It is not only our policy never to use high-pressure sales tactics; it forms the foundation of our entire approach.

No hard sell: A Pressure-Free Sales Experience

Here’s what makes our approach unique:

  • Support over sales
    From the moment you reach out to us, you’ll see that we do things differently. There’s no hard sell, no urgency to close a deal. Instead, our sales team dedicates itself to understanding your needs and preferences, guiding you through the options available without pushing you towards a decision. It’s key that we arrive at the right solution for what you want to achieve.
  • Transparent pricing and honest advice
    We’re proud of our straightforward pricing and the honesty that backs up our advice. When we give you a quote, it includes everything you need to know—no hidden fees, no surprises. Our recommendations are always made with your best interests in mind, focusing on what’s right for you, not what’s most profitable for us.
  • Your decision, on your timeline
    We leave the final decision to you, without any pressure. After we’ve provided you with all the information and a detailed quote, we step back. It’s important to us that you feel free to make a decision in your own time, ensuring you’re completely comfortable and confident in your choice.

Hard sell techniques we don’t employ

Here’s a round-up of some common hard sell techniques found in our industry. We think they are a big red flag and we don’t use them;

  • During the sales process, calling a ‘manager’ to see if they can lower the price.
    Not us, our sales team will give you a quote, it will be the best price we can offer with any applicable discount. The quote is valid for 30 days, if you choose to take us up on the quote within the 30 days, that’s the price we’ll honour.
  • Insisting on a decision that day to lock in the price.
    See above, you get a quote that’s valid for 30 days, it’s simple and it’s the way it should be.
  • Insisting to speak to both partners when discussing a quote.
    We just don’t do this. It’s patronising and pushy. We are happy to speak with just the person that got in touch. You decide!
  • Employing teams to doorstep you.
    Another pushy technique that we don’t like. When our installation team is in the area or a member of the sales team is in an area, we may drop a leaflet through your letterbox, but we won’t knock on your door unless we’ve been invited round to quote.
  • Making it hard to get the sales person to leave.
    Probably the worst of the lot. Our sales team are always courteous and polite and will never outstay their welcome. Nothing leaves a worse taste than someone that makes you uncomfortable in your home. We just don’t do it!

After-Sales Care: Our Commitment to You Continues

Once the sale is agreed and the work is complete, our after-sales kicks in. We have a team of service engineers to address any problems, make adjustments after the install and generally help to keep your investment in working order. What happens after the work is complete is as important as the work itself, it’s this approach that sees customers use us time and again across properties and when new improvements are needed.

  • Follow-up and feedback
    After completing our work, we make a point to follow up, ensuring you’re happy with everything we’ve done. Your feedback is crucial to us, and we’re always here to address any post-installation concerns.
  • Maintenance
    If problems arise after our install team have left your premises, our service engineer is on hand to address fixes and adjustments in quick order. Making your installation perfect is just as important to us as it is to you.
